The best way to understand what GUI library looks like is to see demo applets where all its UI components are presented. There are three demos which illustrate the various features, provided UI components, LwVCL customization abilities and so on. Pay attention in most cases the demos don't implement any business logic. The purpose to show different sides of the LwVCL components set. To see the applets your browser has to support Java 1.1 or higher. As rule Java 1.1 is supplied together with MS Internet Explorer, otherwise install Java Plug-in for your browser (you can find the Plug-in here).

If you don't like the idea to see LwVCL demos as applets, you can download latest version of the library here where all of listed demo applets are available as standalone demo applications.

Try the following demo applets:

  • Pseudo 3D Theme Demo Applet. This is new demo that demonstrates UI components set and the library features. The demo uses Pseudo 3D Theme.  
  • Basic Demo Applet. This demo is developed starting from the begining and has a little bit archaic look and feel. Practically all available UI components are demonstrated by the applet. The demo uses Basic Theme.  
  • Samples Central Demo Applet. This demo contains more than 60 different samples to illustrate the library customization abilities. The applet give you a chance to look at the library abilities more deeply. Pay attention the applet size is about 350 Kb, so it can take a few minute to download it.  
  • GUI Designer Demo Applet. This demo shows the abilities of the extra LwVCL package - GUI Designer Package (GDP).
